SALVATION AFTER THE RAPTURE

Have you ever heard someone say that if they miss the Rapture that they will get saved during the Great Tribulation and suffer martyrdom?  Perhaps you have said it yourself.  My advice to anyone entertaining such a foolhardy notion is to get that out of their head.  Getting saved after the Rapture may be impossible for those that have been exposed to the gospel earlier.  According to 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 people that have rejected the truth now will not be given another opportunity to accept it once believers have been caught up to heaven:  2 THESSALONIANS 2:10-12, “…because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved … God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:  That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.  Let's say for instance; a person that grew up in Sunday School, having heard the gospel all their lives, but choosing to live in sin, misses the Rapture.  At the present time they may believe that when millions of believers are missing that they will know what has taken place because of their Bible instruction from Sunday School teachers, their pastors, and born again family members.  The way they see it in their present state of mind, if they miss the Rapture, then they can accept Jesus, and suffer persecution and, ultimately, martyrdom during the rule of the Antichrist.  What they fail to realize is that the Antichrist will have supernatural power to perform mighty signs and wonders.  Millions will believe that he is the Messiah, or at the very least, someone that is able to lead the world into a utopian state where peace will finally be achieved. Very reasonable explanations will be broadcast to the world to explain the disappearance of millions of Christians.  Still, possessing their present perspective on post Rapture events, they believe that they will see through the deception.  However, the text from 2 Th. 2, above, suggests that the delusion will be so strong that they will be unable to resist its influence.  God said that they will believe a lie.  We can argue with one another about what we might do if we miss the Rapture, but arguing with God is useless.  God says that those that have not loved the truth when they had opportunity to embrace it will not embrace it once the Rapture leaves them behind!
You may say, "But, doesn't the Bible say that there will be people saved during the Great Tribulation?"  The answer is obviously, yes.  However, it does not say who will be saved other than the Jewish people (Zechariah 12-13; Romans 11:26).  It is probable that there will be many Gentiles saved during that time, also, but if we are to take 2 Th. 2:10-12 literally (and I do), then we must deduce that those Gentiles saved during the Great Tribulation will be those to whom the gospel had not come.  Many will not have an opportunity to reject the truth because they may not hear it until after the Rapture.  That being the case, I believe that if any one reading this blog has been delaying accepting Jesus, risking missing the Rapture, that they had better rethink whether they will be able to accept Him once He comes for His bride.  How foolish to think that if they can't live for Him now, that when serving God will become many times more difficult, that they will turn to Him then!  What we can say for certain is that today is the day of salvation, and rejecting the truth will result in damnation!
